Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.0 inch ridge is still located near the western
end of Lake Superior this evening. A 29.9 inch trough over
northwestern Ontario will move south across Lake Superior
Wednesday morning. A 30.0 inch ridge will return over the upper
Great Lakes Wednesday night and will remain nearly stationary
until Thursday night. It drifts southeastward Thursday night and
will be located over Lake Huron Friday morning. A 29.8 inch
trough will track into the upper Great Lakes Friday night while a
29.7 inch low pressure system moves from Illinois northeastward across
lower Lake Michigan early Saturday morning. A 30.2 inch high
pressure ridge builds over the upper Great Lakes Sunday and
remains nearly stationary through Monday.
