Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS....A 29.6 inch low over the lower tip of Lake Huron is
lifting northeast into Ontario and a 30.2 inch high is building
over the central Plains this afternoon. It will pass well to the
southeast of the Great Lakes through Thursday. A 29.8 inch trough
approaches lake Superior late Thursday and stalls just north of
the lake through Friday. An area of low pressure will form along
it on Friday and deepen to around 29.6 inches by Saturday night
but remains north of Superior. A 30.0 inch returns to the upper
Great Lakes briefly on Sunday.
