Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior
National Weather Service Marquette MI
353 PM EDT Sat Oct 20 2018

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...Lake Superior is between a 29.0 inch low pressure
system to the East in Quebec and a 30.4 inch ridge of high
pressure in the Dakotas to the west. As the low continues to move
East and the ridge of high pressure settles into the Upper
Mississippi Valley, winds should calm down for at least a little
while. Look for a 29.9 inch trough to move through on Monday,
before being replaced by a 30.5 inch high pressure system on
Wednesday through the rest of the work week.
