Northern Carroll County in north central Missouri...
Caldwell County in north central Missouri...
Southwestern Macon County in north central Missouri...
Southern Livingston County in north central Missouri...
* Until 215 PM CDT
* At 816 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain
have already fallen across much of the warning area. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chillicothe, Brookfield, Marceline, Hamilton, Salisbury, Braymer,
Brunswick, Polo, Keytesville, Hale, Breckenridge, Kingston,
Bosworth, Utica, Cowgill, New Cambria, Mendon, Tina, Ludlow and
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...
The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Kansas and Missouri,
including the following areas, in Kansas, Atchison KS,
Doniphan, Johnson KS, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte. In Missouri,
Adair, Andrew, Atchison MO, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll,
Chariton, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy,
Harrison, Holt, Jackson, Linn MO, Livingston, Macon, Mercer,
Nodaway, Platte, Randolph, Ray, Sullivan, and Worth.
* Through Friday morning
* Additional rounds of thunderstorms will lead to periods of heavy
rainfall, which could result in flash flooding from this morning
through Friday morning. Rainfall totals will approach 2 to 4
inches, with locally higher amounts possible. This rainfall will
fall on already saturated ground where widespread 4 to 8 inches
has already fallen.
* Excessive rainfall may result in flooding of low-lying or poor
drainage areas...creeks and streams...as well as urban areas. In
addition to the flash flood hazard, rising river levels are also

to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

The Grand River near Sumner.
* from this evening to Tuesday morning.
* At 4:45 AM Thursday the stage was 7.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
to near 32.1 feet by early Friday afternoon. The river will fall
below flood stage by late Monday morning.
* At 28.0 feet...Rural roads are under water.
* At 26.0 feet...Rural land adjacent to the river is flooded.
* At 23.0 feet...Bottomland 1 to 2 miles south of the gage begins to
