1230 PM MDT MON MAR 27 2017

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has extended the

* Flood Advisory for...
A Dam Floodgate Release in...
South central Caribou County in southeastern Idaho...
Western Franklin County in southeastern Idaho...

* Until 115 PM MDT Friday

* Emergency management personnel reported high inflows into the
Alexander Reservoir near Soda Springs due to snowmelt and runoff
which has necessitated dam releases. As a result, minor flooding
of low lying areas is expected along the Bear River downstream
from west of Niter to Thatcher, and from Riverdale south to the
Utah border. Additional flooding will remain possible over the
next several days as high flows from the upstream dams continue.
In addition, elevated flows due to snowmelt and runoff on the Cub
River near Franklin and Whitney may result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
